General info

Dr. Maureen Saunders graduated from Cornell University in 1987 and began working with her father Dr. Burt at his Spring Valley Animal Hospital.  She also worked for Cat's Exclusive in Ridgefield, NJ.  It was her exceptional love of cats that allowed her to occupy this niche at the Cat Care Clinic!

Dr. Heidi Lawrence has been working with Dr. Saunders since 2013.  Although primarily at the Spring Valley Animal Hospital, our clients will occasionally meet her at the Cat Clinic!

Lindsay Weigand has been our receptionist, office manager for the past 3 years after studying business at SUNY New Paltz.  She worked for us from her high school days and we enjoy her efficiency and good animal and management skills!  She is also now studying to become a Registered Nurse and we wish her the best.

Emily Stritmater began her animal experience at Pet Smart and has become an invaluable member of our team.  She helps train our less experienced Veterinary Assistants and makes sure we keep your pet happy and comfortable during our exams and when they are sick.

Jane Arduino has been working for us since high school and is studying to become a licensed Veterinary Technician.  We are expecting that her new knowledge will help us become even better at caring for your loved one!

Marcos Cordova has been working with us as an assistant.  In his spare time, he is DJ extraordinaire!  His love of animals is very apparent and is turning out to be an important part of our team.

Justin Mararccino is our high school student.  We always enjoy exposing young people to the Veterinary profession.  He enjoys sports and plays baseball for Nyack High School.  We hope that he will continue in the animal field once he goes off to College!

Kristen Maneri is now attending college in Florida.  She has been working for us since high school and now has returned to work during holidays.  She is hoping to become a Veterinarian herself!

Billy Cain works part time for our hospitals.  He is very personable and is learning how to be a skilled Veterinary Assistant.
